1

CDL Class A Training

The Class A license is the classic truck driving job most people think of when they envision a career in trucking. It covers the largest combination vehicles, such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and livestock carriers.

Our Class A program, approved by the FMCSA, will train you in all practical and written requirements for earning this license.

You'll learn how to:

  • Inspect your truck before and after trips
  • Couple and Uncouple Trailers Safely
  • Shift gears on manual and automatic transmissions
  • Control speed and turns with large loads
  • Reverse and park in tight yards
  • Understand weight limits, logbook rules, and compliance requirements

By the end of your course, you'll feel comfortable operating heavy commercial rigs and ready for both local and long-haul work.

Graduates from this program move into positions with logistics companies, freight carriers, and regional distribution centres.

2

CDL Class B Training

This license class allows you to drive single commercial vehicles that weigh more than 26,001 pounds, such as dump trucks, delivery trucks, school buses, and some utility vehicles.

Our CDL Class B course covers everything you'll need to learn for your DMV exam and day-to-day work, from theory through behind-the-wheel training.

Here's what's included:

  • Complete air brake inspection and maintenance procedures
  • Safe handling in narrow streets and loading zones
  • City and local route driving
  • Backing maneuvers and parking
  • Cargo safety and balance

Many students who sign up for the course are from the Bay Area and take this course because it opens the door to local driving jobs: steady work, regular hours, solid income without long-distance travel.

Upon completion, you'll be fully prepared to pass your CDL test and start working in construction, transport, delivery services, or public transit operations.

3

Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT)

All first-time CDL applicants are now required to complete FMCSA's ELDT before taking their skills test.

Our ELDT program covers every federal and state requirement. We help you understand both the safety rules and the logic behind them by providing a mix of classroom learning, online modules, and practical driving sessions.

You'll cover topics such as:

  • Basics of heavy vehicle operation
  • Managing turns, space, and speed
  • Safety inspection and documentation
  • Cargo handling and securement
  • Hours-of-service compliance and trip planning
  • Driver wellness and fatigue prevention

When you complete the course, we will upload your certification directly to the FMCSA database, thus making you qualified for your CDL skills test.

4

CDL Endorsements

Getting a CDL is not enough. Adding endorsements to your license can open new opportunities and better pay.

We provide training for the most common CDL endorsements:

  • T - Double/Triple Trailers: Learn to manage multiple trailers safely and efficiently.
  • N – Tank Vehicles: For drivers carrying liquid or gas-based cargo that moves while driving.
  • H - Hazardous Materials (HazMat): Required for transporting regulated or dangerous goods. Includes TSA background and safety procedures.

Our instructors lead you through the additional testing and training requirements for each endorsement. You’ll be fully qualified and compliant.

5

CDL Refresher and Re-Entry Courses

Our refresher courses are designed for those who already hold a CDL but haven't been behind the wheel in a while.

These sessions rebuild your confidence and bring you up to speed with current trucking standards and FMCSA rules, focusing on:

  • Updated inspection procedures
  • Backing + shifting practice
  • Safe turning and braking
  • Logbook updates and electronic recordkeeping
  • General driving etiquette and safety checks

This course is ideal for returning drivers, career changers, or those who are looking to rejoin the industry after a gap.

6

Automatic and Manual Transmission Trucks

Different companies use different transmission systems — and we make sure you're ready for both.

Our training yards have modern, automatic, and manually operated trucks to help you get comfortable with shifting gears, clutch control, and proper acceleration in both systems.

Learning both types gives you more flexibility when applying for jobs. Some carriers prefer automatic fleets, while others still run manual trucks. We train you to handle either confidently.

7

Modern Equipment and Real-World Practice

Doaba Truck Driving School doesn’t train you in outdated equipment. Our fleet is the latest modern trucks kept to professional standards to ensure safety and a smoother learning experience.

Students also have access to well-marked driving ranges and clean classrooms equipped for both group lessons and individual learning. You'll practice on real roads, in mixed traffic, and in the kinds of conditions you'll face once you're working.

8

Job Placement Support

We realize the license itself isn’t the aim; rather, it’s finding a good job.

That's why we offer placement services for our graduates. Our staff maintains relationships with reputable carriers, logistics companies, and local transport services throughout California.

We'll help you prepare your application, build a driver profile, and connect with employers that match your goals. Many students start full-time roles shortly after completing training.

9

Flexible Payment Options

Getting your CDL should not be out of reach. Our school offers payment flexibility to make tuition more manageable.

We can help you explore:

  • Payment plans
  • Possible funding assistance programs
